Restaurant
Turangi has several restaurants within walking distance of Parkland’s Motorlodge, but the most reasonably priced, convenient, and popular among locals is Parklands own eatery. Dinner is available from 6.15pm nightly, except Sundays, to guests and the general public. Featuring what owner Craig Morley scrupulously labels “honest food”, diners can choose from a variety of entrees and a respectable menu offering:
- Scotch fillets
- T-bone steaks
- Lamb cutlets
- Crumbed chicken breasts
- Seafood fillets
- Vegetarian omelettes
- Salads
- Fresh vegetables
- Potatoes du jour
- Sumptuous desserts

Guests who catch a trout may have it cooked by the in-house chef as a special culinary treat.
In-room breakfasts are available daily, with restaurant breakfasts and lunches for groups and conferences easily arranged.
Parklands Bar
An adjoining small, yet fashionable bar, warmed in winter by a charming antique wood burner, provides infectious down home atmosphere. The bar offers patrons two television sports channels and specialises in local beers, an extensive range of reputable New Zealand provincial red and white wines, and an impressive international selection of malt whiskeys.
